Tearful sunday...

See the woman in red on the left? Yah, it is her! Yah, its a WOMAN director...and Yah, she is the indirect cause of my tearful sunday.

Can anyone of you just email her? Dont have to produce such a heart-wrecking movie that make people cry until the eyes also cannot open in the morning.

Ok, the movie is "THE WAY HOME". I remember I wanted to watch this movie for a long time. But, didnt get a chance to...and yesterday, channel U decided to broadcast it.

I am too distraught to blog about the synopsis of the movie. It's actually a very simple tearjerker movie. Below are some of the screenshots of the movie.

Communication

I think communication is essential in life.

It is especially important in a relationship. Today, I was listening to "FRESH Fm 93.8" for the first time in my life ON my way to work. I heard the following story:

"A husband and wife are filing for divorce at the law's firm. The husband angrily accused the wife that she always cook very yucky breakfast in the morning for him EVERY morning. He hated the breakfast... The wife retorted and said that she thought that her husband loves to eat that kinda breakfast and that's why she woke up early every morning to prepare it. She hated preparing the bfast because it's so difficult. However, she did it out of love for her husband."

Well, of cos..they divorce not just cuz of breakfast lah. However, I find this story tells us how important communication is. The husband could have told the wife...in a nice way that the breakfast could be another style if its too difficult to prepare.. or maybe he can even suggest bringing the wife out for breakfast instead..... maybe maybe maybe....

I am bad at communicating. I know I'm bad ....but I will try to improve on that... :)

Yes, I totally agree with the "moments of awkwardness" part. People around me could be thinking, "eh..i thought she is unmarried? How come got ring?". ... It seems like these people do not even consider rings to be merely an accessory at all!

You mentioned that rings symbolise commitment to a relationship...commitment to each other...commitment to share weal and woe, happiness and joy... I totally agree to that too.. However, due to some "mysterious" carelessness, I've lost the rings. I have to confess that initially for the first few days, i felt really lost, more like I am not "used to" the empty feelings around my finger.

Therefore, I "anyhow" bought one for myself to solve the empty feeling first.

But fatfat is right, the lost of the rings has and will NOT affect our relationship. Rings are just physical objects...of course every ring may have its own beautiful story/memory behind it. However, like what you have said and totally agreed by me is..

"Our life is intertwined not by those rings...it is within the heart/mind..."

P.S. We will continue to search for the most perfect pair of rings....ok?

SAVING FACES

This is a movie that I MUST watch!!! We caught the trailer while we were watching "Mysterious skins"...I guess this movie will be better than BUTTERFLY.



This movie(Saving faces) is about this 28-yr old(eh? fatfat?) New Yorker - Wil Pang. Life is a juggling act between a promising career as a surgeon and her responsibilities as a dutiful daughter. Wil has a girlfriend - Vivian. However one day, Wil's mum moves in with her, which makes life so much difficult for Wil and Vivian....

So, what will happen in the end? Will the gers' relationship be strained? Watch "Saving Faces" to find out!!!

Words and their meanings...

I always am envious of fatfat's ability to write. Well, anyone can write, but fatfat can write well. Therefore, I am so glad that fatfat has managed to squeeze out some precious time to start blogging again.

- It is not that I dun like to talk to fatfat, but I think fatfat's words(in a blog) always soothe my gan cheong & stressed-up nerves.

- It is not that I prefer a virtual communication, it is just that sometimes being able to "view" the words and allowing some "buffer time" to digest what the writer is trying to convey to us is really helpful for "SLOW" people like me. Especially when I come from a chinese-speaking family since young.

I think Tami and fatfat can communicate well... cuz both can speak FLUENT english... Can you two give me english lessons? Thanks..oh..and xiaofat might be interested to attend as well..

My new adidas watch

Today fatfat bought TWO watches... Both adidas...One green and one red.
Actually I like BOTH colors. I think these two colors are both nice..but fatfat let me have the green wan...ehhee
